Bindlestiff at the Franklin Institute

FullSizeRender (1)Our youngest volunteer, Sonja, entered the Franklin Institute’s contest for the best building made with Legos as part of a promotion for their art of the brick exhibit.

Her Bindlestiff Books entry (the first floor of the building, with a cutaway in the roof so you can see the interior, and a rather idealized conception of our back yard, which is actually pretty overgrown) won first place in the 5-10 age bracket and is on display as part of the exhibit (in the gift shop, along with the winner of the above 10 category and a few other pieces). Seeing the exhibit does involve buying a ticket in addition to basic entry; we will display her piece in the store once the exhibition is over.
