West Philadelphia native and Haverford professor Asali Solomon will be signing copies of her new novel, Disgruntled, Thursday, June 11th at Bindlestiff Books, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Copies of the book have been available in the store for a few weeks now, and will be available at the event. The booksigning will be followed by a reading at Little Earthquakes as part of the Still Untitled series.
Disgruntled, Solomon’s first novel, is set in West Philadelphia. As the novel opens, the protagonist is a student in the 4th grade at Henry Charles Lea School. The Los Angeles Times says “Solomon is a skillful guide who presents beauty and complex ideas in clear, accessible prose, with frequent punches of laugh-out-loud humor.” Check out Disgruntled‘s awesome review from the Times: http://www.latimes.com/books/jacketcopy/la-ca-jc-asali-solomon-20150201-story.html
